G7 ambassadors arrive in Odesa, reiterate importance of grain deal

MOSCOW. July 29 (Interfax) - The ambassadors of the Group of Seven countries to Ukraine arrived in Odesa, where they reaffirmed the importance of the UN-brokered deal on the export of agricultural products via Ukrainian seaports that was signed by Ukraine with Russia and Turkey, United Kingdom Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons said.

"My fellow G7 ambassadors and I are in Odesa with Turkey to reiterate the importance of the UN-brokered deal allowing food to be shipped out of Ukraine," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Simmons as saying on social media on Friday.

As reported, an agreement on resuming Ukrainian grain exports via the Black Sea was signed in Istanbul on July 22.
