Four-sided coordination center facilitating Ukrainian grain exports starts work in Istanbul - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. July 26 (Interfax) - A joint coordination center set up under the agreements on facilitating grain exports from Ukrainian seaports has started its work in Istanbul, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"In line with the provisions of the initiative on mutual understanding on the safe transportation of grain from Ukrainian ports, the Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul has started work. A forward group of Russian experts will arrive in Istanbul today to start work in a four-sided format," the ministry said on Tuesday.

The Russian delegation is led by Rear Adm. Eduard Luik, it said.

"The main job of the Russian specialists at the JCC will be to promptly address all issues to make sure that the initiative's practical implementation starts," it said.

The work done by the Russian representatives to the JCC is "under special control at the Russian Defense Ministry," it said.
