European Commission signs memorandum to provide another 1 bln euros in assistance to Ukraine

MOSCOW/BRUSSELS. July 20 (Interfax) - European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis, acting on behalf of the European Commission, has signed a memorandum of understanding to disburse one billion euros in macro-financial assistance to Ukraine.

"Signing the Memorandum of Understanding with Ukraine on behalf of the EU to provide EUR 1 billion macro-financial assistance as emergency funding. This will be paid out end-July to support Ukraine's government and people. The EU is here to help," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Dombrovskis as saying on social media.
