Belarus-Russia Union close to setting up customs control coordinating body - Russian Deputy PM Overchuk
MINSK. July 18 (Interfax) - The Belarus-Russia Union is "coming very close" to establishing a customs control coordinating body, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk said.
"There are no problems as of now, everything is going according to schedule. We enjoy absolute mutual understanding. We are coming very close to setting up a customs control coordinating body in the Union State," Overchuk said in an interview shown on the Belarus 1 television channel on Sunday.
"It will deal primarily with assessing customs risks. This is very important both for Belarus and for Russia from the standpoint of everything that is happening. Thirty officers, 15 on each side, will work in Minsk," he said.
