"This decree takes effect at 12:00 a.m. on July 9, 2022," the document said.

The list of critical imports of services, works and intellectual property rights, established by the decree, includes such services as payment for goods (products, services, and costs) associated with transportation of passengers and cargo, settlements under vehicle leasing contracts, services of storage of goods in warehouses abroad, services associated with satellite imagery, creation of software, including websites and online services, car rental, various transportation services, start-up and installation of equipment, advertising, repair of devices, pharmacological supervision of medicines on foreign markets, information services and services of foreign data centers, as well as various types of certification, and others.

As reported, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has limited foreign currency payments abroad after February 24. At the same time, the NBU allowed payments only under the list of critical imports endorsed by the government. This list has since been expanded 18 times and covered about 90% of all product categories. The government abolished the list of critical imports of goods at a meeting on July 7.
