Ukrainian govt abolishes list of critical imports for goods - MP

MOSCOW. July 7 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has canceled the list of critical imports of goods, but partially retained restrictions on the import of services, deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada committee on finance, taxation and customs policy Yaroslav Zhelezniak said.

"The Cabinet of Ministers has abolished critical imports of goods. But for the import of services, restrictions are still partially in effect," he said on Telegram on Thursday according to Ukrainian media reports.

As reported, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has limited foreign exchange payments abroad since February 24. At the same time, the NBU allowed payment only according to the list of critical imports, which was approved by the government. This list has since been expanded 18 times and now it includes about 90% of all product categories, the ministry said.
