Ukraine plans projects to develop export railway infrastructure costing $1.5 bln rubles

MOSCOW. July 6 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov presented a number of planned projects to develop the country's export railway infrastructure costing a total of $1.5 billion at a forum in Lugano, Switzerland on Tuesday.

The projects, to be implemented in 2022-2025, include the construction of new and modernization of existing railways (both 1435 mm and 1520 mm) in the direction of borders with the European Union and Danube ports, modernization of rolling stock for freight shipments and modernization of equipment for changing track gauge.
