Zelensky welcomes decision of Israeli court to permit visa-free entry of Ukrainians

MOSCOW. July 4 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court of Israel to permit visa-free entry of Ukrainian citizens to the country.

"I commend the decision of the Supreme Court of the State of Israel, which obliges the government of Israel to abolish any additional restrictions on the entry of citizens of Ukraine. The rule of law and respect for human rights is exactly what distinguishes a true, developed democracy!" Ukrainian media outlets said, citing Zelensky post on a social network on Sunday.

The Supreme Court of Israel, ruling as the High Court of Justice, abolished the decree of Israeli Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked depriving Ukrainians of the right to visa-free entry to Israel.
