Attempts to reinstate OSCE Minsk Group counterproductive - Aliyev

BAKU. June 30 (Interfax) - The attempts of Armenia and a number of other countries to reinstate the OSCE Minsk Group are counterproductive, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said.

"There is no need for the OSCE Minsk Group; we have bid it farewell. Armenia and a number of other countries want to reinstate it, but that's impossible, it is dead," Aliyev said at a parliamentary conference of the Non-Aligned Movement in Baku on Thursday.

Any further discussion of the OSCE Minsk Group is both counterproductive and damaging for possible peace in the region, he said.
