Lithuania, European Commission agree on main principles of Russian transit to Kaliningrad

VILNIUS. June 27 (Interfax/BNS) - Lithuania and the European Commission agreed on the main principles and fundamentals of Russian cargo transit to Kaliningrad at consultations on Monday.

Lithuanian Presidential National Security Advisor Kestutis Budrys said after the meeting at the Presidential Palace that the consultations were held in light of the updated European Commission guidelines for the implementation of sanctions.

"The main principles and fundamentals to be followed by Lithuania were unanimously coordinated today to clarify certain issues for the European Commission," Budrys said.

He did not comment on any specific principles or regulations.
