FM Kuleba sees no grounds for 'miracle' to happen for Ukraine at NATO summit

MOSCOW. June 8 (Interfax) - Ukraine is expecting a miracle from the NATO summit in Madrid, but there are no grounds for that, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.

"My expectation from the NATO summit is that a miracle will happen. But I don't see any prerequisites for it so far. What I mean is NATO's position on Ukraine," the Ukrainian media quoted Kuleba as saying at a press briefing on Wednesday.

The minister said that he does not currently see any decisions regarding Ukraine or on Black Sea security that NATO may be preparing to adopt at its summit.

Ukraine is discussing a format for its participation in the NATO summit with Spain, he said.

"We are working with Spain, which is the host country, and are discussing an optimal format. We have certain travel-related restrictions, they also have certain restrictions related to Hungary's position. But we will come up with some sort of format," Kuleba said.
