Turkey's Genesis Seed intends to establish project to produce hybrid seeds in Bashkortostan

SIBAY. June 3 (Interfax) - Bashkortostan's government and Genesis Agro Trade LLC, part of the Turkish holding Genesis Seed & Meya Tohum, signed a cooperation agreement on Friday, an Interfax correspondent reported from the document signing ceremony.

The agreement envisages implementing a project for the production of hybrid sunflower seeds and other agricultural crops in Bashkortostan.

The project cost is estimated at 142.1 million rubles, and it is expected to create 32 jobs.

Genesis Seed & Meya Tohum specializes in seed breeding, such as seed production and agricultural research, as well as in exporting cereals and legumes to countries in the Middle East, Europe, Asia and other global regions.
