Gas supplies to Moldova being carried out routinely - Moldovagaz head

CHISINAU. June 1 (Interfax) - Supplies of natural gas to Moldova are being carried out routinely in line with the terms of the contract with Gazprom , Moldovagaz CEO Vadim Ceban said.

"Supplies of natural gas to the Republic of Moldova are being carried out routinely and in line with the terms of the contract with PJSC Gazprom. The purchase price of the energy resource will total $880 per thousand cubic meters in June taking into account calorific value," Ceban said on Telegram.

The National Agency for Energy Regulation raised the rate for gas for the end consumer by roughly 23% on Tuesday from 15.8 lei to 18.62 lei per 1 cubic meter with VAT starting June 1, thus only partially granting Moldovagaz's request to raise the rate 58% to 24 lei.
