UN: UNCTAD rep had constructive talks on Russian grain, fertilizer export in Moscow

NEW YORK, UN. May 31 (Interfax) - Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Rebeca Grynspan has had constructive talks about export of Russian grain and fertilizers to the global market in Moscow, UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said.

"Just to confirm that Rebeca Grynspan was in Moscow yesterday by request and on behalf the secretary-general. The objective of her discussion, as we've said, is focus on facilitating Russia's grain and fertilizers to the global market with the key aim of addressing growing global food insecurity," Dujarric said at a briefing on Tuesday.

"She had a constructive discussion with First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov," he said.

Grynspan is currently in Washington, D.C., also holding talks on food security, Dujarric said.
