NATO PA calls on govts of member states to take steps in support of Ukraine's NATO integration path - Verkhovna Rada

MOSCOW. May 31 (Interfax) - The NATO Parliamentary Assembly (PA) has called on the governments of NATO member countries to take concrete steps in support of Ukraine's NATO integration path, Ukrainian media outlets said on Monday evening, citing a statement on the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada's website.

"The declaration passed by the NATO PA calls on the governments of the alliance's member countries to take concrete steps to promote Ukraine's NATO integration path," the statement said.

"Our positions on the diplomatic front have considerably strengthened, while the strategic goal of accession to the EU and NATO has become closer," said the head of Ukraine's permanent delegation to the NATO PA, Ehor Cherniev, a member of the Servant of the People pro-presidential faction.

The NATO PA met in Vilnius, Lithuania, on May 27-30.
