Newly appointed U.S. ambassador to Ukraine arrives in Kyiv

MOSCOW. May 31 (Interfax) - Newly appointed Ambassador of the United States to Ukraine Bridget Brink arrived in Kyiv on May 29, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine said on its website on Monday.

"Ambassador Brink was nominated by President Biden to be U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine on April 25, 2022, confirmed unanimously by the U.S. Senate on May 18, 2022, and arrived in Kyiv on May 29, 2022," the embassy website said.

According to Ukrainian media reports, Ambassador Brink visited memorial sites in Kyiv and presented her credentials at the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

"Our first priority to is help Ukraine... I presented my credentials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and began discussions on how we can support Ukraine," Brink said on social media on Monday.
