Russian gas deliveries to Turkey via Blue Stream resume after conclusion of scheduled maintenance

MOSCOW. May 30 (Interfax) - Gas supplies from Russia to Turkey via the Blue Stream Black Sea gas pipeline have resumed after the completion of scheduled maintenance.

"A set of planned works at the facilities of the Blue Stream gas pipeline has been completed. Gas supplies have been resumed today," PJSC Gazprom's press service told Interfax.

A series of planned works on pipeline facilities, which envisaged a reduction and suspension of supplies, was planned from May 17 to May 30, 2022.

"The series of planned works within the specified terms was planned back in 2021. Both the company and its consumers take the stoppage of the pipeline into account in their plans," Gazprom also said.

Blue Stream was put into operation in 2003. Gas transported via the pipeline almost doubled to 15.98 billion cubic meters in 2021, setting a new record. The pipeline can pump 47.355 million cubic meters of gas per day.
