Russia has exported more than 37 mln tonnes of grain this agro year, season's potential at 50 mln tonnes - minister

SOCHI. May 27 (Interfax) - Russia has been exporting more than 37 million tonnes of grain this agricultural year that ends on June 30, 2022, and the outlook for the new agricultural year that starts on July 1, 2022, is 50 million tonnes, Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev said at the All-Russia Grain Forum in Sochi on Friday.

"In the current season, more than 35 million tonnes of grain has already been shipped to foreign markets, including 28.5 million tonnes of wheat. By the end of the agricultural year, we expect grain exports to exceed 37 million tonnes, and we estimate foreign trade potential for grain at 50 million tonnes in the coming season," the minister said.
