Russia registers 4,927 new cases of Covid-19, 97 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ
MOSCOW. May 19 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 4,927 new cases of Covid-19, as well as 2,117 hospitalizations and 97 deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Thursday.
"As of May 19, Russia recorded 4,927 new cases of Covid-19, while 2,117 patients were hospitalized, down 11.6% from the previous day," the headquarters said.
The number of hospitalizations has grown in 32 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in 45, and has remained unchanged in eight, the headquarters said.
Another 97 patients died from Covid-19 over the past day, versus 106 the day before.
Daily morbidity has grown by 195 cases from 4,732 reported on Wednesday.
"Meanwhile, 5,952 patients have recovered, down 3% from May 18," the headquarters said.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 18,278,617 cases of Covid-19, including 378,072 deaths and 17,670,628 recoveries.
