Novatek starts production at Evo-Yakhinsky area with total capacity of 4 bcm of gas per year

MOSCOW. May 16 (Interfax) - Novatek has started pilot commercial production of gas condensate deposits in the pre-commissioning mode under load at the Evo-Yakhinsky area of fields, the company said in a statement.

The block includes the Evo-Yakhinskoye and Ust-Yamsoveyskoye fields, as well as part of the Urengoyskoye field, within the Olympic area.

Annual production at the Evo-Yakhinsky block is 4 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 1.3 million tonnes of gas condensate per year.

"Maintaining pipeline gas production levels in the zone of the Unified Gas Supply System for deliveries to the domestic market, as well as gas condensate production levels to load our processing capacities, remains one of the company's main priorities. The launch of the Evo-Yakhinsky area of fields should contribute substantially to our gas production and gas condensate," Novatek CEO Leonid Mikhelson said.
