Number of Ukrainian refugees in Belarus nearing 27,000; many of them headed to Russia -human rights center

MINSK. May 13 (Interfax) - A total of 26,814 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in Belarus to date, the pro-governmental human rights center Sistemnaya Pravozashchita said on Friday, referencing information from the Belarusian State Border Committee.

"The situation has stabilized, and the number of arrivals is more or less constant," from 100 to 200 people per day, the center said.

"At the same time, to our knowledge, a substantial percentage of these people are not remaining in Belarus, but moving on to Russia," it said.
