UN to 'redouble efforts' to help Ukrainians - Guterres

KYIV. April 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The United Nations is keen on stepping up its support for Ukrainians, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said.

"The UN will redouble its efforts to save lives and reduce human suffering. In this war, as in all wars, the civilians always pay the highest price," Guterres said on Twitter on Friday.

Guterres arrived in Ukraine on Wednesday evening and visited communities in the northwestern part of the Kyiv region on Thursday morning.
