Russia registers 7,681 new cases of Covid-19, 166 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 7,681 new cases of Covid-19, as well as 2,596 hospitalizations and 166 deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Thursday.

"As of April 28, Russia recorded 7,681 new cases of Covid-19, and 2,596 patients were hospitalized, down 13% from the previous day," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 28 constituent territories, has decreased in 47, and has remained unchanged in ten, it said.

Another 166 persons died from Covid-19 over the past day, versus 163 the day before.

Daily morbidity has slightly decreased from 7,705 cases reported on Wednesday.

"Another 11,063 patients recovered in the past 24 hours, down 3.61% from April 27," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 18,167,281 cases of Covid-19, including 375,566 deaths and 17,517,992 recoveries.
