Zelensky says cannot understand Georgia's stance

KYIV. April 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he cannot understand the Georgian leadership's stance on Russia.

"We are truly fraternal peoples, so I really do not understand the stance of Georgian leaders and it pains me. I believe their actions are not worth doing. The refusal to impose the sanctions [on Russia], those peanuts in the history of two states, the history of this neighborhood," Zelensky said at a press conference in Kyiv on Saturday.

Ukraine will absolutely send its ambassador back to friendly Georgia as soon as it feels that the Georgian leadership supports Ukraine, he said.

"Speaking of the ambassador's return, we will definitely send the ambassador back to friendly Georgia as soon as we feel that the [Georgian] leadership supports Ukraine," Zelensky said.
