Russian economy weathers first sanctions blow, there is time for restructuring and structural changes - Reshetnikov

MOSCOW. April 19 (Interfax) - The Russian economy has weathered the first blow dealt by sanctions and has obtained time for structural changes, Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov said while speaking at a meeting of the government commission on improving the sustainability of the Russian economy in the face of sanctions.

"The economy has withstood the first sanctions blow. We secured the necessary time to restructure production chains, logistics and structural changes in the economy," the minister said.

According to the minister, of the approximately 250 measures under the priority action plan, regulations have been adopted for 193, and a number of decisions have already been implemented or are in the active implementation stage.
