Intel suspending operations in Russia

MOSCOW. April 6 (Interfax) - The U.S. Intel Corp., a developer and manufacturer of electronic devices and computer parts, has announced suspension of its operations in Russia.

"We are immediately suspending all business operations in Russia, in furtherance of the decision to suspend all deliveries to clients in Russia and Belarus," the company said.

The delivery of Intel products in Russia and Belarus was suspended in early March.

According to SPARK Interfax, Intel Technologies, the Russian subsidiary of Intel, employs about 60 people. The company posted 1 billion rubles in revenue and 67 million rubles net profit in 2020. In actual fact, most Intel products are not sold via the company's Russian subsidiary, but are supplied inside computers sold by various manufacturers.
