Romania scraps int'l permits for Ukrainian transport companies on April 5

KYIV. April 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Romania has abolished all types of international permits for Ukrainian transport companies, Ukrainian First Deputy Infrastructure Minister Mustafa Masi Nayyem said on Monday.

"We have received a formal confirmation from Romanian colleagues in regard to our enquiry about the full abolishment of all types of international permits for Ukrainian transport companies. The permits are scrapped at midnight from Monday to Tuesday," Nayyem said on Telegram.

As the border with Russia is closed, that will enable Ukrainian transport companies to take alternate routes and bring back vehicles, cargo and drivers from Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, he said.
