Ukraine has alternative export routes, exports partially ongoing - PM Shmyhal
KYIV. April 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukraine has to look for alternative export routes because of the blockage of its ports, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
"We're looking for alternative export routes together with our partners. I wouldn't like to name them prematurely, but there are at least three alternative options, and exports are partially ongoing," Shmyhal said in an interview with nv.ua on Monday.
In particular, Ukraine should earn from $7 billion to $10 billion by exporting its grain surplus, Shmyhal said.
Ukraine intends to step up its exports, he said.
"I am virtually convinced that we'll be able to export 80% of the [planned] volume," he said.
