South Korea restricts exports of 57 non-strategic goods to Russia, Belarus

MINSK. March 28 (Interfax) - South Korea's Trade, Industry and Energy Ministry has restricted exports of 57 non-strategic goods and technologies to Russia and Belarus, Business Korea reported.

"Korean companies that want to export items on the export control list to Russia and Belarus have to pass a separate approval procedure beginning from March 26," Business Korea said.

Non-strategic goods include low-performance semiconductors and computer equipment.

The Korean government decided earlier to control exports to Russia at a level similar to the economic sanctions that the United States and the European Union imposed on Russia following the launch of its military operation in Ukraine, Business Korea said.
