Kamchatka has exported nearly 16,000 tonnes of fish products since start of year, deliveries on schedule - Rosselkhoznadzor

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY. March 23 (Interfax) - Exports of fish products from the Kamchatka Territory totaled nearly 16,000 tonnes from January 1 to March 20 this year, which was practically in line with the 16,272 tonnes for the same period in 2021, the press service of the regional office of the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) said.

"Since the beginning of 2022, Rosselkhoznadzor for the Kamchatka Territory and the Chukotka Autonomous District has issued 51 certificates of 5i series and 564 health certificates for 15,963 tonnes of fish products as based on the Federal State Budgetary Institution Kamchatka Interregional Veterinary Laboratory's tests," the press service said.

"Supplies are currently proceeding on schedule," the watchdog told Interfax.

According to the press release, 11,430 tonnes of fish products and 4,533 tonnes of fodder fishmeal have been exported thus far this year.

China has received the bulk of the products at 5,175 tonnes. The Kamchatka Territory has also exported fish to the Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Indonesia, and France, with the products complying with the veterinary requirements of the importing countries, Rosselkhoznadzor said.
