Polymetal board adds 4 independent directors

MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - Polymetal has announced the appointment of Janat Berdalina, Steven Dashevsky, Yevgeny Konovalenko and Paul J. Ostling to the company's board as independent non-executive directors, the miner said in a statement.

The board will now consist of seven directors, five of whom are independent.

Earlier, amid the mass exodus of foreigners from the boards of Russian and Russian-affiliated companies, six independent directors left the Polymetal board, leaving only Giacomo Baizini.

Polymetal CEO Vitaly Nesis and ICT Group representative Konstantin Yanakov are also on the board.
