Ukraine may cancel visa-free entrance for Israelis - source

KYIV. March 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The Ukrainian leadership is considering the cancellation of visa-free entrance for Israeli citizens, a source familiar with the situation told Interfax-Ukraine.

"Ukraine might cancel visa-free travel with Israel after Israel has essentially cancelled this regulation with regard to Ukrainian refugees," he said.

Israel has earlier introduced new entrance rules for Ukrainian citizens, requiring that they apply for the Israeli Interior Ministry's authorization prior to their trip.

"Arriving in Israel and boarding a plane requires preliminary authorization by the Israeli Interior Ministry," the Ukrainian embassy to Israel said.

A special electronic form to apply for such authorization is currently available on the Israeli Interior Ministry's website.
