Belarus to trade mostly with Russia and China, no need for dollars - Lukashenko

MINSK. March 15 (Interfax) - Belarus will soon be needing Russian rubles and Chinese yuan for trade purposes, and will have little need for dollars, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said.

"We'll soon probably have to have an extra Russian ruble or yuan in our pockets, because we'll be trading mainly with these countries," the BelTA news agency quoted him as saying at a meeting with the heads of the special services.

"This dollar is already slowly starting to slump, because there'll be no need for it, especially given these sanctions that have been imposed against us," Lukashenko said.
