Domino's Pizza Eurasia ceases investing in Russia, not accepting royalties

MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - DP Eurasia N.V., the master franchisee of the Domino's Pizza chain in Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, has ceased investing in Russia and will not be accepting any royalties from the Russian business going forward, DP Eurasia said in a statement.

"The board of directors has deemed it appropriate to limit any further investment [in the operations of the Russian network], and will analyze the issue in light of the developing geopolitical situation. Moreover, the group today announces that royalty payments from the Russian operations have been suspended until further notice," the group said in the statement.

What has been happening has not had a substantial impact on business in Russia thus far, and the operations of the company's 188 retail outlets has continued.

DP Eurasia has also noted that the safety and well-being of the company's employees remains its priority. The company is "shocked and saddened by the conflict and its impact on innocent civilians in the region," according to the statement.
