Ukraine receiving weapons from everywhere; DPR, LPR should be given air defense systems - Shoigu
MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - There has been an uncontrolled supply of weapons to Ukraine, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shogi said.
"There has been an absolutely uncontrolled supply of arms, various weapon systems to Ukraine from everywhere," Shoigu said at a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with permanent members of the Russian Security Council on Friday.
He called for supplying the Donetsk (DPR) and Luhansk (LPR) People's Republics with air defense and anti-tank missile systems for that reason.
"We have a proposal: air defense systems, including MANPADS, and anti-tank missile systems should be delivered to the LPR and DPR militia to bolster their combat capacities," Shoigu said.
