Azerbaijani positions in Karabakh come under fire - Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry

BAKU. March 10 (Interfax) - Armenian armed groups have opened fire on Azerbaijani military positions in Nagorno-Karabakh several times over the past 24 hours, Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry said on Thursday.

"From 9:50 a.m. to 5:10 p.m. on March 10, Armenian illegal armed formations present in Azerbaijani territory, where Russian peacekeepers have been temporarily deployed, intermittently fired weapons of various calibers at Azerbaijani army positions in the vicinity of the Agdam, Khojavend and Fizuli districts," the Defense Ministry said.

The Azerbaijani Armed Forces took response measures in the aforementioned sectors to prevent provocations.

The Azerbaijani army did not lose any personnel or hardware in those strikes, the ministry said.

"The current situation in these sectors is stable and is fully controlled by our units," it said.
