Ukraine ready to discuss security guarantees from permanent members of UN Security Council, neighbors - Ukrainian Foreign Ministry

KYIV. March 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukraine is ready to discuss the receipt of security guarantees from permanent members of the UN Security Council and the neighboring countries similar to those envisaged by the North Atlantic Treaty, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.

"My constitution says something and I cannot speak against my constitution. But if we could reach an agreement where similar system of guarantees as envisaged by North Atlantic Charter could be granted to Ukraine by permanent members of the UN Security Council, including Russia, of course, by Turkey, as a big friend and a neighboring country, by all our neighbors, this is something that we are ready to discuss," Kuleba said at a press conference after talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in Antalya on Thursday.
