Two Penza residents subjected to administrative liability for discrediting Russian Armed Forces

SAMARA. March 9 (Interfax) - Penza courts have found two local residents guilty of discrediting the Russian Armed Forces, the press service for the Russian Interior Ministry's Main Directorate for the Penza region said.

"Two residents of Penza were subjected to liability for participation in unauthorized public events. The citizens took part in expression of opinions on political issues, drawing [people's] attention to cultivate public opinion on a specific issue," the report said.

One of them was fined 30,000 rubles, and the other was arrested for 15 days, the press service said.

Both persons were subjected to liability on charges of public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Russian Armed Forces to protect the interests of the country and its citizens, to maintain international peace and security.
