Humanitarian situation in Ukraine keeps worsening - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. March 5 (Interfax) - The humanitarian situation in Ukraine is becoming catastrophic, head of Russia's National Defense Control Center Mikhail Mizintsev said.

"Regrettably, the humanitarian situation in Ukraine is rapidly deteriorating and is continuing to take on catastrophic proportions. At the same time, the Russian side is taking all possible measures to stabilize the current disastrous situation for the Ukrainian people and is honoring all humanitarian obligations assumed by it and will continue to honor them," Mizintsev said at a meeting of the interagency coordination headquarters for humanitarian response on Saturday.
