Putin's rating up since recognition of DPR, LPR, launch of special military operation - poll

MOSCOW. March 4 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin's approval rating has risen to 70.4% from 64.3% during the February 14-20 week, i.e. before the decision to recognize the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics and launch a special military operation to protect Donbas, according to the findings of a VCIOM poll obtained by Interfax on Friday.

As for Putin's confidence rating, it also increased from 67.2% on February 14-20 to 73% now, the pollster said.

The nationwide poll was conducted among 1,600 adult respondents on February 21-27.
