Bellingcat fined 500,000 rubles in Russia for absence of foreign agent labels in materials on its website - court

MOSCOW. March 4 (Interfax) - Moscow's Tagansky District Court found the Bellingcat investigative group (added to the foreign-agent media register by the Russian Justice Ministry) guilty of committing an administrative offense and imposed a fine on the company on Thursday.

"Bellingcat was given an administrative fine of 500,000 rubles for committing an administrative offense," court spokesperson Zulfiya Gurinchuk told Interfax.

The Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) has previously drawn up an administrative offense report against the Stichting Bellingcat company for absence of foreign agent labels in its materials.
