Withdrawal from OSCE not under consideration right now - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - Russia has not yet considered pulling out of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe but its patience has limits, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

"We are not considering the withdrawal from or the suspension [of the membership in the OSCE]; we'll always have time to do this, but still, I would like to say that [our] patience has limits," Zakharova said at a press briefing in Moscow on Thursday.

"The organization was started on certain principles, and they have been so much perverted today," she said. "Since the 1990s, the West has just usurped control over OSCE institutions in order to interfere with the internal affairs of sovereign states and impose their ultra-liberal concepts and the values alien to many countries and their peoples," she said.

"The turning point in mind came earlier, of course," she said. "We have been talking a long time about these subjects," Zakharova said.
