Belarusian Defense Ministry denies mobilization underway in country

MINSK. March 2 (Interfax) - The Belarusian Defense Ministry has denied reports of ongoing mobilization in the country.

"At present, measures dealing with mobilization are not being taken in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus. All reservist trainings were planned and approved by special legal acts in advance," the press service for the Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

"The notifications (summonses) citizens of the Republic of Belarus receive from military enlistment offices in their neighborhoods inform them about participation in the planned events and are by no means related to the special operation in Donbas," the ministry said.
