Roscosmos threatens to cancel March 5 launch of OneWeb satellites if there are no guarantees that they won't be used for military purposes

MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - Roscosmos will cancel the launch of the satellites of the company OneWeb from Baikonur, which is scheduled for March 5, if it does not get guarantees that they will not be used for military purposes, Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin said.

"If we don't get this confirmation from our partners by 9:30 p.m. on March 4, the rocket will be taken off the launch site and the satellites will be sent to the assembly and testing unit," Rogozin said on Rossiya 24 television on Wednesday.

"We also believe that a real guarantee that OneWeb will work solely for civilian purposes is the removal of the British government from the list of shareholders. If that doesn't happen, we will not accept any guarantees," Rogozin said.
