Foreign bands, artists cancelling their concerts in Russia

MOSCOW. March 1 (Interfax) - Foreign bands and musicians, including Franz Ferdinand, Green Day, and Iggy Pop, have decided to cancel their concerts in Russia, the organizers of the events said.

"The Franz Ferdinand concert scheduled for July 1 in Moscow has been cancelled. In order to return the tickets, we advise you to inquire with the sellers you purchased them from," the SAV Entertainment concert agency organizing tours said in a statement.

The agency also announced the cancellation of Green Day's concert, which was supposed to take place on May 29.

Iggy Pop has cancelled his appearance at the Park Live festival on July 10, the festival's website said. According to the TMZ website, The Killers have also cancelled their performance at Park Live.

Imagine Dragons earlier announced the cancellation of their concerts. The band's official Facebook page said that the decision to cancel the shows in Russia and Ukraine was made in light of the events in Ukraine.
