Lukashenko says wishes to get from Russia weaponry capable of inflicting "unacceptable damage" to adversary

MINSK. Feb 27 (Interfax) - - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has expressed desire to agree with Russia on shipments to his country of additional weaponry capable of inflicting "unacceptable damage" to an adversary.

"The plans of Belarus' defense have been elaborated now. Within a short period of time, and we know already what kind of additional equipment we need, Putin and I will agree to move here from Russia additional appropriate weapons which can inflict such unacceptable damage that neither Poles nor Lithuanians will want to fight against us," Lukashenko told reporters after voting at the constitutional referendum in Minsk on Sunday. The Belarus 1 television channel livestreamed the scene from a polling station.
