Russian govt to give 170 mln rubles to produce Covid-19 diagnostics means as part of supporting foreign states

MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has signed an order allocating 170 million rubles to the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) for providing assistance to countries of Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America in Covid-19 diagnostics.

"To allocate to Rospotrebnadzor in 2022 funds from the federal budget to finance expenditures [...] related to the additional production of laboratory diagnostic means of the novel coronavirus infection in order to provide material and technical support to countries of Europe, South Caucasus, Central and Southeastern Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latina America and the Caribbean in the amount of 170,770,820 rubles," the order said.

The Finance Ministry is instructed to ensure the funding of the expenditures.
