Kyrgyz president in call with Putin expresses support for Russia's resolute actions to protect Donbas civilians - Kremlin

MOSCOW. Feb 26 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov have discussed over the phone the development of the situation surrounding Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, the Kremlin press service said.

"Noting Kyiv's responsibility for the collapse of the Minsk Agreements, Sadyr Japarov expressed support for the Russian side's resolute actions to protect the civilian population of Donbas. Vladimir Putin thanked the Kyrgyz president for his principled stance of solidarity," the Kremlin said.

The parties reiterated mutual commitment to the comprehensive strengthening of Russian-Kyrgyz relations of strategic partnership and alliance, the press service said.

The conversation took place at the initiative of the Kyrgyz side, it said.
