Russia records 122,995 Covid-19 cases, 14,324 hospitalizations in past 24 hours - coronavirus response HQ

MOSCOW. Feb 26 (Interfax) - Russia has recorded 122,995 new cases of Covid-19, 14,324 hospitalizations and 793 deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a bulletin on Saturday.

"As of February 26, 2022, Russia recorded 122,995 new cases of Covid-19 and 14,324 Covid-19 hospitalizations, or 4.1% less than the day before," the bulletin said.

The hospitalization rate has decreased in 52 regions, remained the same in one and increased in 32, it said.

The daily death toll has reached 793. A total of 787 deaths were recorded on Friday.

In comparison with Friday, when Russia recorded 123,460 cases of Covid-19, the daily case rate has decreased by 465.

"As many as 181m343 patients have recovered over the past day, it is 8.4% more than on February 18," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen 16,175,023 cases of Covid-19, including 350,158 deaths and 13,321,314 recoveries.
