Pumping station cut off from electricity, DPR towns to be left without water - DPR emergencies minister

DONETSK. Feb 25 (Interfax) - The Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) towns will be left without water due to the power supply disrupted at the main pumping station, DPR Emergencies Minister Alexei Kostrubitsky said.

"The pumping station of the 3rd lift of the Seversky Donets-Donbas Canal, which is one of the key water supply facilities in Donbas, is cut off from electricity, [...] the DPR towns will be left without water," Kostrubitsky said in a statement released by the press service of the DPR Emergencies Ministry on Friday.

In efforts to "prevent a humanitarian disaster, if necessary, the DPR Emergencies Ministry, together with utility services, will organize water deliveries" by tank trucks, the statement said.
